Half Day In a Life Session with the K Family of Three | Chicago Family Photographer

You may or may not know that I am a documentary family photographer. My passion is to capture everyday moments in lives of families in different stages of their lives. Capturing the essence of who we are, both individually and collectively, in all our glorious imperfection is my goal.

Documentary family photography is not about staging perfect smiles or orchestrating picture-perfect poses we all see more and more on social media. It's about embracing the messy, chaotic, and wonderfully imperfect moments that make up the fabric of family life.

While posed portraits may capture a fleeting moment of perfection, documentary photography immortalizes the beauty found in the everyday, the unscripted moments that often go unnoticed but are no less precious.

I spent about 4 hours with the K family. We baked cheesecake, played board games, went for a walk and basically just relaxed and hang out on this sunny Saturday. I loved every minute of it.

Please enjoy looking at the story of this lovely Chicago family of three.
