I am a documentary family photographer. Yes. I love telling visual stories of every possible stage of life. I am also a mom. Of two teenagers. It is a very interesting moment in our lives. And I’m sure all families with teens can relate. It is challenging for sure but most of all very emotional. For both kids and parents. The passage of time is more and more apparent. At least to me.

Personality Portrait Sessions are designed to honor our tweens and teens in this tumultuous and unique moment in their life, when they are not quite a child anymore but not the adult either. The process of discovering who they are, exploring their passions, and beginning to shape their own identities should be celebrated. This period is incredibly dynamic, and it is a great opportunity to capture not just what the kids look like, but who they are becoming.

Photographs of tweens and teens should tell the story of their journey. These are the years when personalities really start to shine, when passions turn into hobbies, and when friendships often feel like the most important relationships in the world. Capturing these elements in a portrait can be incredibly powerful, preserving memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. And this is my goal as a family photographer.
