Energy, Art, and Enchantment: What Made Dragon’s Day Out Special
In April 2025 I got to document an exciting event in Fox Lake, IL called Dragon’s Day Out. In this blog post I will share my favorite photos I took there and my experience overall.
Dragon’s Day Out wasn’t just a vendor expo - it was a portal into a world of magic, creativity, and community. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I could feel the energy buzzing in the air. Everywhere I looked, there was something to spark my curiosity and delight.
The vendor hall was filled with treasures: hand-crafted dragon art, spiritual tools, mystical books, and unique creations that felt infused with intention. Visitors wandered between booths, chatting with artisans and discovering pieces that spoke directly to them. My camera caught not just the items on display, but the joy and connection between vendors and guests.
One of the highlights was the variety of experiences available. Tarot readers offered glimpses into hidden pathways, while the sound bath filled the room with vibrations that invited peace and renewal. A vibrant dance performance brought the crowd together, reminding us that movement is also a form of magic.
What stood out most to me was the sense of enchantment that wove through it all. Dragon’s Day Out wasn’t simply about shopping - it was about experiencing a community where imagination, spirit, and artistry flourished. As I photographed the day, I saw more than just moments. I saw stories: stories of creativity, connection, and the kind of wonder that stays with you long after the event ends.
